Tiny Titan Holiday Update!

It's that time again, everyone! The days are shorter, the weather is colder, and shopping has become a maddening, frantic experience that leaves deep emotional and mental scars in its wake. It's the holiday season and we're winding things down at the office for our winter break.

A Year to Celebrate

Last Friday, we had our second annual Tiny Titan Holiday Party! We played a couple of rounds of laser tag, did a Secret Santa gift exchange, had a poker tournament and generally had an amazing night of fun. Big thanks to Laser Quest in London, ON for hosting our group and letting us blow off some steam before we headed back to the office for poker, food and drinks. Here are a few pics:

The team strikes their best Titan poses.

The poker tournament was in full effect!

Tom and Jules were the big winners at the poker tournament! Tom took home a PS4 Uncharted bundle and Julie got some awesome Bluetooth headphones.

Glenn grabs a blacklight selfie at Laser Quest.

Christian, Carson, Justin and Tom get ready for some Laser Quest.
The past year has been a very eventful one for all of us at Tiny Titan. Our team has essentially doubled in size and we've moved to new offices. We've just launched a new game and there are exciting new projects on the horizon.

Thank you to all of our players for their continued support and for helping us to become the studio we are today. We'll all delighted to be able to come into our space every day and make games, and we will be eternally grateful that all of you make time to play them and talk with us about them. From our family here at Tiny Titan to yours, have a wonderful and safe holiday season with your loved ones.

Tiny Rails Launch and Updates

As many of you will know, we launched our latest title, Tiny Rails, this past week on iOS and Android. This game featured our biggest team on a project to date and had the longest development cycle of any Tiny Titan title released thus far. It was a lengthy and sometimes difficult dev cycle, but we're very proud of the finished project and couldn't be more excited about the reaction we're seeing to it so far.

With all of that being said, the team is keenly aware that we have a number of bugs and general gameplay issues that need to be addressed. We're dedicated to stomping out the most critical of these bugs as quickly as we possibly can and will do our best to prioritize the areas we focus on based on the biggest impacts to our players. On the gameplay front, we're working on making navigation smarter and we think it'll provide a better overall experience, as well as give us better flexibility in creating new content.

Currently, we're aiming to have a quality-of-life update with fixes and minor features out in early January, with a large content update to follow in late January/early February.

Holiday Vacation

We also wanted to take this time to let everyone know that the studio will be closed for the holidays starting December 24th. We'll be returning on Monday, January 2nd. While we won't be going completely dark during those times, we'd ask that you please bear in mind that responses to emails, tweets and other social media will be delayed over this period. We'll catch up in the new year once we're back at work.

In the meanwhile, please enjoy time with your family and friends. We look forward to seeing you in 2017!

Attention London, ON residents: Focus Testers Wanted!

Tiny Titan Studios is looking for people who have *not* currently played our most current release, Tap Smiths, to come in and help us out by doing some focus testing. No experience is necessary, just a desire to play games and give feedback!

This would involve coming to our office and playing the game for about 30 minutes to one hour, during which we'll inquire about your experience playing the game. Please note that we are only looking for assistance from *local* testers at this time.

If you, or someone you know is interested in helping us out, please contact us at glenn@tinytitanstudios.com and we'll make arrangements. Thank you!

Tap Smiths Update: Night of the Living Smiths

Welcome back to the Tiny Titan Studios Blog, now a weekly feature!

Last week, we dropped hints about about the future of both Dash Quest and Tap Smiths. Those who are dying to hear more about Dash Quest are unfortunately going to have to wait one more week for details. Tap Smiths fans, however, get ready for an information dump! Patch 1.0.5 is dropping Wednesday on Android and should be available by the end of the week on iOS. This patch is a content update to gear you up for update 1.1.0 in two weeks.

What can you expect from this month's updates? More! While that's a pretty simple explanation, that really is our aim: to give you more of what you love. More Smiths! More Blueprints! More Secrets! And, more ways to spend gold and upgrade your smithery! 1.0.5 will add four new Smiths (including a new Smythical character) and ten new Blueprints, with more Smiths, upgrades and bonuses to follow in update 1.1.0. I'd like to tell you what all the patterns and smiths are, but you have to find them for yourself!

Wait... who left the door open? Oh no! They got in!

Someone brought out the dead, it seems. We'll have to fix that lock.

Cheesy jokes aside, the other three smiths are yours to find.

What are the new secrets you ask? Well, they are just that, a secret!

We'll see you next week and drop more details on Tap Smiths v1.1.0 in the coming days!

Tap Smiths, Live Teams and a Teaser

On July 5th, Tiny Titan Studios released our fourth game, Tap Smiths. We could not be more ecstatic to report that the game is a smashing success! We were fortunate to be featured in Apple's "New Games We Love" on the App Store, which helped us surpass our wildest expectations for the game. While we encountered a few small issues during our launch, the overwhelming positive feedback that Tap Smiths has received is humbling and very much appreciated. We'd like to offer sincere thanks to all of our players for their ongoing support.

Now, Tiny Titan Studios is looking to the future and continuing our goal of creating high quality mobile games. What things can you expect? Well, you're reading part of it right now! We'll be increasing our social presence, starting with this blog post. Daily Facebook and Twitter posts, weekly blog posts, more presence on Reddit and our forums and the occasional Instagram update are all in our plans. If you are interested in keeping up with what we are doing, be sure to follow and bookmark all our social media:

As well as an increased social media presence, our recent growth also affords us some much-needed resources to help support our games. Our new live team is aiming to release updates for both Dash Quest and Tap Smiths every two weeks. What will these updates contain? Check out next week's blog post to find out!

In closing, our artist Chris McIntyre completed this piece of pixel art this past week and we really wanted to share it with all of you. Is it for an existing project? Something new? Was Chris just bored at work (never, we assure you)? Be sure to keep an eye on our social media to find out more!

Meet the Team - Our new hire, Joe Pendon

Joe poses in front of the Wall of Lights.

Tiny Titan Studios would like to officially welcome our newest team member, Joe Pendon!

Joe has been working as a game artist for over eight years. Some of his awesome art has already made it into Dash Quest as part of our 2.0 update, but primarily he's working on material for an upcoming project. We're very excited at the work Joe is producing already, and we're overjoyed to have him join our art team!

As a huge fan of retro RPGs, Joe counts Earthbound and Chrono Trigger among his favourite games. He's also been known to deprive himself of sleep for the sake of playing "one more turn" in Civilization V. Joe also enjoys basketball and MMA, which he describes as "an art, like dance, but with punching and kicking".

Welcome to the team, Joe, from all of us here at Tiny Titan Studios!
